Almond oil (sweet) / Almonds- used since ancient times and reputed to have been used by Napoleon’s wife, Josephine, sweet almond oil is a fixed oil pressed from the sweet almond seeds.
The Sweet Almond tree has dark-colored bark, rose to white flowers in early spring and belongs to the same group of plants as the rose, plum, cherry and peach. Native to Asia and the Mediterranean, It is one of the most used oils and is excellent for the protection of the skin and hair, being emollient, nourishing and softening. As well as being known for its ability to soften and re-condition, it contains both monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids and is also rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, D and a small amount of vitamin E).
Aloe Vera - native to Africa, aloe vera contains over 75 nutrients, 200 active compounds including 20 minerals, 18 amino acids and 12 vitamins. It moisturises and strengthens dry, brittle and damaged hair. It also has scalp stimulating properties and is said to reduce hair fall.
Babassu/ Babaçu oil - is a wonderfully light and non-greasy skin moisturiser extracted from babassu palm tress which is only found in certain areas of Brazil or South America. This oil is solid at room temperature. It restores strength and elasticity for revitalised hair.
Behetrimonium Methosulfate and Cetearyl Alcohol-also known as Conditioning Emulsifier is a self-emulsifying wax, derived from the natural plant oil Colza. It is both a mild primary emulsifier and an excellent conditioning agent. In hair care, it offers good detangling properties particularly for wet hair, it also leaves the hair with lots of body and elasticity.
Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate- an Eco cerified emulsifier that is derived from olive oil, this product is considered mild and hypoallergenic, therefore can be used in baby care products.
Organic Cocoa Butter- Cocoa butter is a soothing emollient that has been used for centuries in Africa for skin care. It has been traditionally used to heal and moisturize skin that has been exposed to the elements. Cocoa butter helps reduce the formation of stretch marks during pregnancy by keeping the skin supplement.
Coffee Butter- Coffee butter is a semi-soft, light brown colored butter with a strong aroma of coffee and is similar in properties to the coffee oil. It does not have caffeine in it as caffeine is a water soluble component of the bean but the aroma is of pure coffee. Coffee has been found to be a powerful antioxidant. The high content of unsaponifiable matter in coffee oil has made it popular in cosmetics too. The oil offers natural protection from ultraviolet light.
Coconut oil (organic Virgin) - A biologically pure coconut extracted from fresh coconut milk without the use of heat or solvents. It is bearly solid oil at room temperature, with a gorgeous sweet smell. Virgin coconut oil retains inherent attributes of coconut oil, these include squalene, sterols and vitamin E.
Citric Acid - derived from citrus fruit used in making fizzy products and also act as a PH adjuster.
Cupuaçu Butter - Cupuaçu Butter contains phytosterols, an unsaponifiable component that acts at the cellular level regulating the balance and activity of the lipids of the stratum corneum. It has a high capacity for water absorption due to these sterols. It offers a pleasant touch and softness to the skin and improves the humidity and elasticity of the skin.
Glycerine (Kosher) - a natural humectant.
Glyceryl Stearate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Sodium Stearoyl - Eco certified emulsifier
Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride - derived from guar gum, it offers conditioning properties without build out, it also improves viscosity of the final product.
Hemp seed oil (Unrefined)- is an excellent natural emollient and moisturiser. This oil has full amino acid spectrum i.e it provides complete protein, it also has a high trace mineral content. In hair care, Hemp seed oil moisturises, imparts gloss and managebility to hair, bringing relief to dry scalp or hair damage by blow-drying, chemical perms, colouring and sunlight.
Hibiscus Extract- Hibiscus is a beautiful flower that is commonly found in the Sub-tropic and Tropic regions. In ayurvedic medicine, hibiscus is said to stimulate thicker hair growth, prevent premature graying, hair loss and scalp disorders.
Honey- In hair care honey acts a natural humectant, it is also full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes.
Horsetail Extract - oil extract of horsetail herb, it contains silica which helps strengthen the hair.
Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey- a conditioning agent derived form honey, it has humectant and detangling properties. It is said to be twice as effective as glycerine.
Organic Jojoba Oil - jojoba is a wax, similar to natural sebum. It soften and coats strands locking in moisture
Lavender Flowers - lavender flowers, to soothes and calm the scalp.
Macadamia Nut Oil- Macadamia nut oil is a very stable oil because of its mono-unsaturated nature. The high content of palmitoleic acid also makes macadamia nut oil an effective anti-oxidant. It is suitable for all skin types but is particularly good for dry or mature skin because of its high percentage of palmitoleic acid. The palmitoleic acid protects the skin just like human sebum does.
Mango butter-derived from mango kernel. It offers moisturising and emollient properties to hair, and also strengthen and protect hair against mechanical, chemical, heat and UV damage.
Manketti oil-Manketti trees grow throughout South Africa. The nuts and the oil of the manketti tree have been used traditionally for their nutritive value. The oil, also called Mongongo oil, is highly emollient and protects the skin from harsh winds and sun.
Marshmallow root (organic)- contains mucilagin a natural substance that causes marshmallow to swell up and becomes slippery when wet, hence giving it, its softening and detangling properties. It also have the ability to sooth irritated scalp.
Meadowfoam seed oil- Meadowfoam is a herbaceous annual plant native to the USA. The oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the plant. It is an outstanding moisturiser and rejuvenator when compared to other oils and helps to retard moisture loss. The main reason is the 98% long chain fatty acids it contains, making it highly stable and long lasting. Meadowfoam seed oil adds gloss and moisture to the hair when incorporated into shampoos and hair conditioners. The oil is replenishing, blocks UV rays and is easily absorbed by the skin.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)- is an organo sulfonyl sulphur compound found naturally in fluid of living organisms. As a result is found in various fish, meat and vegetables. It is thought to work by contributing sulphur group,the sulphur normally contributed to the body by MSM is required for healthy collagen and keratin, which are essential for skin, hair and nails. The MSM used in our hair care products is from plant source and food grade.
Monoi d' Tahiti oil -An exotic golden-yellow oil of Tahitian origin, it is created by combining Tahitian coconut oil and essence of Tiare flowers (Tahitian gardenia). For centuries, polynesian women has used monoï oil to moisturise and condition the skin and hair. Monoï has the ability to moisturise and repair damaged hair. Monoï de Tahiti is protected and authentificated worldwide by "appellation d' origine". Mowrah Butter- Mowrah Butter is derived from the friut kernels of the Madhuca (Butter) tree, which is native to India. It has a buttery soft consistency. It is reputed to reduce the degeneration of skin cells, prevent skin dryness and wrinkles and restore skin flexibility
Nettle Extract - oil extract of nettle leaves to promotes blood circulation to scalp, encouraging hair growth.

Olive Squalane- Squalene is found naturally in the sebum of human skin and is believed to lubricate and protect skin.

Painya Butter- Painya also known as golden shea is the butter from the Butter Tree (Pentadesma butyracea), a tree which grows in the gallery rainforests and riverbank forests along the west coast of Africa from Sierra Leone to Cameroon.
Panthenol - The human body converts D-Panthenol to Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5), a natural constituent of healthy hair and a substance present in all living cells. It offers moisturization, improvement of hair structure and adding luster and sheen to the hair.
Phenoxyethanol- a paraben and formaldehyde-free preservative system. Phenoxyethanol is also available in an emollient base of Caprylyl Glycol. Derived form coconut oil.
Rice Bran oil- A light non-greasy oil derived from the outer coat of brown rice. It moisturises, condition and impart shine to the hair. It also high in natural anti-oxidants such as tocopherol (vitamin E), Tocotrienol ( the anti-oxidant responsible for rice bran oil UV protective/suncreen properties) and oryzanol.
Sage extract - oil extract of sage leaves, it helps regulates the sebaceous gland and oil production.
Shea Butter (unrefined or deodorised) -shea butter also referred to as karite or simply translates as 'life" has been used for centuries in africa. It is a solid fat obtained from shea fruit nut. shea butter is solid at room temperature but quickly liquefies right around body temperature. Shea butter contains vitamins A, E (unrefined shea butter is said to have about 5IU of vitamin E per ounce) and F, it is also high in cinnamic acid, a natural sunscreen. It provides moisture to dry or damaged hair, repairing against weather and mechanical
Silk amino acids - produced by hydrolysis of pure silk fibres. Its low molecular weight allows penetration of shaft thereby strengthening and reducing damage from chemical, mechanical and heat styling processes. It also helps retain elasticity and impacts a soft and smooth feel to hair.
Sodium Lactate - sodium salt of lactic acid, ours is derived from corn, is a natural humectant and moisturiser.
Soy Lecithin - a natural substance produced from soy with superior moisturising and smotthing properties. It is able to urgent the properties of other active substances. It also emulsifies and thickens.
Tocopherol (natural Vitamin E) - natural mixed tocopherols isolated from vegetables oils and concentrated to contain naturally occurring d-alpha, d-beta, d-gamma and d-delta tocopherols in a soybean oil base. It acts to prevent oxidation and may prevent free radical damaged.
Vanilla extract - Natural plant extract from the vanilla bean.
Watermelon seed oil- Watermelon seed oil is also known as ootanga oil and kalahari oil. Wheat protein (hydrolyzed)-strengthens hair by adding cysteine (sulphur donor) to weakened hair fibres. It also helps repair chemical and mechanical damage.
